A couple days ago I mentioned the amazing ignorance of ABC Anchorman Gibson regarding the unfolding ACORN scandal. Now it would appear that Speaker of the House Pelosi is equally uninformed.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she is clueless about an amendment to prohibit government funds for embattled ACORN, although it overwhelmingly passed the Senate Monday and the White House is calling for the group to be held accountable.

"I don't even know what they passed," Pelosi told The Post yesterday. "What did they do? They defunded it?"

Granted, it's possible that Pelosi gets her news from ABC and is therefore uninformed about current events.

But, all kidding aside, it's simply not believable that she is unaware of such major bipartisan action in the Senate against a major liberal group that supported the campaign of the president of the United States? Are we supposed to believe that the White House has distanced itself from that same group of supporters? Are we really supposed to believe that the Speaker of the House is out of the loop?

Come on, it'd be naive to think that major Democratic leaders haven't discussed this. It'd be like a Republican Senate condemning the NRA, a Republican president distancing himself from the NRA, and a Republican Speaker of the House claiming to not know anything about it. Absurd.

Pelosi has to know about it. And, if that's the case, why did she act like she didn't?
