It's been 89 days since Manuel Zelaya was booted from power. He's sleeping on chairs, and he claims his throat is sore from toxic gases and "Israeli mercenaries'' are torturing him with high-frequency radiation. So Zelaya returned to his country and rather than confront the government of Honduras, he holed up in the Brazilian embassy. Now he's complaining that he doesn't have a bed, toothpaste, or a change of clothes? Sounds likely a poorly planned trip to me. If I travel to even another city, much less a country I've been exiled from, I make sure I have a bed at my destination and am sure to bring toothpaste and a change of clothes. The guy can't even plan a trip and we're pushing to have him reinstated as president? And now he's alleging a Jewish plot to torture him within the Brazilian embassy that he chose to go to? Is he next going to sign-on to 9/11 conspiracy theories? Oh, but it's the Israeli torture that is affecting his mental state so I guess we should just ignore his conspiracy theories. Zelaya going back to Honduras was a crazy idea to start with. And now, in the Brazilian embassy, it looks like Zelaya is demonstrating just how crazy he can be. Then the U.N. shuts down all aid that would give credibility to the November election and the U.N. General Secretary complains that the conditions do not exist for a credible election. Perhaps because the U.N. shut down the aid that would have provided the credibility? Sounds like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me. This is an international freak show and comedy skit being played out in the U.N. and Honduras. Go to the article list |
